7. Printer failure during order processing

If a printer fails while orders are being processed, the system will automatically alert the user.

The alert includes:

  • A sound notification

  • A system alert message

  • The Order ID associated with the failed print

This helps outlet staff quickly identify which order was affected and take corrective action.

What to do when a printing failure occurs

When a printing failure notification appears, the user should first check the status of the printer in the Printer Settings section.

Follow the steps below based on the printer type.

Bluetooth printers

  1. Ensure the Bluetooth printer is powered on.

  2. Confirm the printer is still paired with the device.

  3. Check that the printer is within Bluetooth range of the device.

  4. If the connection was lost, reconnect the printer through Printer Settings or re-pair it through the device Bluetooth settings.

  5. Once the connection is restored, the user can reprint the order manually.

Network printers

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on.

  2. Confirm the device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  3. Check that the printer IP address and port configuration are correct.

  4. If the connection issue persists, try reconnecting the printer from the Printer Settings page.

  5. After reconnecting, the order can be printed again manually.

USB printers

  1. Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to the device.

  2. Confirm the printer is powered on.

  3. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable if the printer is not detected.

  4. Check the printer status in the Connected Printers section.

  5. Once the printer is detected again, the user can print the order manually.
