Help and Support for Bluetooth Printer Setup

This section covers common questions about connecting and using Bluetooth printers in the app.

1. How to Connect a Bluetooth Printer to the app?

To connect your Bluetooth printer to the app, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Turn on your Bluetooth printer.

Step 2: Go to your device’s Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth.

Step 3: From the list of available devices, select your printer to pair it with the device.

Step 4: Open the app and go to the Printer Settings or Bluetooth Printers section.

Step 5: If the printer is paired correctly, it will appear under the Available printers section in the app.

Step 6: Tap the Connect button next to the printer name.

Step 7: You can now rename the printer and select which types of receipts the printer should print (e.g., Invoice/Order Details Slip, Picking Slip).

Step 8: Tap Save to complete the connection.

Step 9: A popup will confirm if the printer is connected successfully. If not, you’ll see an error message.

Step 10: Once connected, the printer will appear under Connected printers section.

Note: The app currently supports most Rongta Bluetooth printers. For the best experience, we recommend using officially supported models.

 

2. Why is the required printer not showing in the Available printers section even when Bluetooth is turned on?

If your printer isn’t listed in the "Available" printers section even though your Bluetooth is turned on , try these troubleshooting steps to see if it works:

Step 1: Ensure that you have stable connection

Step 2: Confirm if the printer is powered on.

Step 3: Ensure the printer is not connected to another device.

Step 4: Ensure if the device's Bluetooth is turned on.

Step 5: Ensure if the required printer is paired correctly to your device.

Step 6: If not, pair the printer from the device settings.

Step 7: Return to the app and check if it appears in the "Available" printers section.

Step 8: If issues persist, try forgetting/deleting the printer from the device and pairing from the beginning. if it still fails, do try restarting both the device and the printer.

 

3. The printer is listed under the Available printers section, but unable to connect it.

If you see the printer but cannot connect, try out these steps:

Step 1: Make sure that there's a stable connection.

Step 2: Make sure the printer is turned on and not connected to another device.

Step 3: Confirm that Bluetooth is stable and the printer is still paired with your device.

Step 4: Tap Connect in the app and wait a few seconds.

Step 5: If the connection fails, try unpairing and repairing the printer via device settings.

Step 6: Return to the app and try connecting again. 

 

4. How to test if the required printer is connected properly?

After connecting a printer, you can run a test print to verify if the printer is connected successfully:

Step 1: Go to the Connected Printers section.

Step 2: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the connected printer.

Step 3: Select Test Print.

Step 4: A sample receipt will be printed if the connection is successful.

Step 5: If the printer is not connected properly, an error message will appear.

 

5. The required document is not getting printed even though the printer is connected.

This could be due to timeout or printer configuration issues. Try the following to see if the issue could be solved:

Step 1: Ensure the printer is within range and powered on.

Step 2: Check that the printer is listed under Connected Printers in the app.

Step 3: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the printer name and select Test Print to verify connection.

Step 4: If printing fails, try disconnecting and reconnecting the printer.

Step 5: Also, ensure correct printing options are enabled (e.g., invoice/order details slip or picking slip)

 

6. Can multiple copies of the same receipt be printed at the same time?

Yes, if multiple printers are connected, then the user can print a certain receipt through all connected printers.

Step 1: While connecting a printer, assign it a unique name.

Step 2: Select which receipts it should print (Invoice/Order Slip, Picking Slip).

Step 3: You can connect and configure multiple printers to split printing tasks as needed.

 

7. How to change the printing options for a connected printer?

To update receipt types for a connected printer:

Step 1: Go to the Connected Printers section.

Step 2: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the printer.

Step 3: Select Edit.

Step 4: You can rename the printer and adjust printing options (Invoice/Order Details slip or Picking slip).

Step 5: Tap Save to confirm changes.

 

8. How to switch from one printer to another?

You can easily switch between printers as follows:

Option 1: Disable the current printer

    • Go to Connected printers, tap the 3-dot menu, and choose Disable.

Option 2: Remove the printer

    • From the 3-dot menu, select Remove to permanently forget/delete it.

Option 3: Enable another connected printer

    • If another printer is already connected but disabled, tap its 3-dot menu and choose Enable.

 

9. How to disable/enable a connected printer from the app?

To temporarily stop printing from a connected printer:

Step 1: Go to the Connected printers section.

Step 2: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the printer.

Step 3: Select the Disable option.

To re-enable a previously disabled printer:

Step 1: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the disabled printer.

Step 2: Select Enable and confirm to print documents smoothly.

 

10. How to permanently remove or forget a printer from the app?

To completely remove a printer:

Step 1: Go to the Connected Printers section

Step 2: Tap the 3-dot menu next to the printer.

Step 3: Select Remove Printer and confirm.
