Layouts on grubOne

GrubOne offers two layouts to view and manage orders efficiently: Tile View and Split View. Each layout is designed to suit different operational needs, allowing kitchen and retail outlet staff to process orders quickly and effectively. Users can select their preferred layout during initial setup or change it later in the General Preferences settings.

1. Tile View

Tile View displays orders as flexible cards arranged in a grid. The card height adjusts automatically based on the number of items and other details, ensuring that the maximum number of orders can be viewed at once.

Key Features

See all received orders on a single screen, organized in cards.
Order cards on the screen can be actioned directly immediately.
Cards adjust their height based on the number of items and order details, so all information is visible at once.
The number of order cards shown depends on the device’s screen size and dimensions.
Works across Live, Done, and Cancelled tabs, so the view and workflow remain the same everywhere.

2. Split View

Split View divides the screen into two sections, a left panel showing a condensed list of orders and a right panel displaying the full details of the selected order.

Key Features

The left panel shows all orders in a compact list, making it easy to see what’s pending.
Clicking on an order shows all details on the right panel, so you can focus on one order at a time.
The layout is consistent across Live, Done, and Cancelled tabs, giving you a familiar workflow.

How to Set Up (Same for Both Layouts)

During Initial Setup:
- When logging in for the first time, the app will prompt you to select a preferred layout
- Choose Tile View or Split View
- Save your selection
- The app will now display all incoming new orders in the selected view
From General Preferences:
- Go to Settings > General Preferences
- Select Tile View or Split View under the Layout section
- Click Save to apply the layout
- All tabs (Live, Done, Cancelled) will display orders in the selected view
