Managing Orders in grubOne
Once an order has been accepted, staff can manage its progress by starting preparation, marking it as completed when ready, or cancelling it if it cannot be fulfilled.
1. Starting an Order
Orders can be started in two ways depending on how the location is configured:
1.1 Auto Start
During the initial grubOne setup, staff have the option to enable Auto Start from the configuration pop-up.
-
When Auto Start is enabled, all accepted orders in the Live tab will automatically move to the In Progress state.
-
The Start button will not appear on the order card, as the order begins preparation automatically.
-
Only the Mark Done button will be displayed for further processing.
1.2 Manual Start
-
If Auto Start is not enabled, staff must initiate each order manually.
-
After an order is accepted, the Start button will appear on the order card.
-
Tap Start to begin preparing the order.
-
Once started, the button will automatically change to Mark Done for the next action.
-

2. Completing an Order
When the order preparation is finished:
-
Tap Mark Done on the order card.
-
The order will then be moved to the Done Orders tab.
3. Cancelling an Order
Orders may be cancelled at any stage, whether they are Accepted, In Progress, or even after being Marked Done.
Steps to Cancel an Order
-
Tap the three-dot menu (Quick Actions) on the order card.
-
Select Cancel Order.
-
Choose a cancellation reason from the dropdown list.
-
Confirm the cancellation.
Once confirmed, the order will be moved to the Cancelled Orders tab.

Note💡: If your order completion or cancellation is unsuccessful, please check your connection and retry by clicking on the Mark Done button.
