Searching & Filtering Orders on grubOne

grubOne enables kitchen and retail staff to quickly find and manage orders using the built-in search and filter features. All results are displayed in the user’s selected layout either tile View or split view, ensuring a consistent and efficient workflow.

How to Search Orders:

  • Tap the Search icon on the order screen.

  • Enter the Order ID you want to locate.

  • Matching results will appear in a dropdown as you type.

  • Select the desired result to view the order card in your chosen layout.

  • If no results are found, a notification will appear on-screen.

  • To reset your search, tap Clear Search (displayed below the message) or use the Close (X) button in the search bar.

💡Note: Search applies only to the tab you are currently viewing (Live, Done, or Cancelled).

How to Filter Orders:

  • Tap the Filter icon on the order screen.

  • A panel will slide in from the right showing all available filter categories.

  • Scroll through the options (e.g., Order Source, Brand, Fulfilment Type, etc.).

  • Select one or more checkboxes under each category as needed.

  • Tap Apply to filter the order list.

  • The panel will close, and only the matching orders will be displayed in your selected layout.

  • If filters cannot be applied, a notification will appear on-screen.

💡Note: Filters apply only to the tab you are currently viewing (Live, Done, or Cancelled).

Resetting Filters

  • After selecting filters, a Reset button appears at the bottom of the filter panel.

  • The button label indicates how many filters are currently applied (e.g., Reset 2 filters).

  • Tap the Reset button.

  • A confirmation popup will appear.

  • Confirm the action to clear all selected filters and restore the full list of orders.

Searching Within Filters

  • Open the filter panel.

  • For any filter category containing more than five options, a search bar will appear at the top of that category.

  • Type in the search bar to quickly find the option you need.

  • Matching results appear instantly at the top of the list.

  • If no results are found, the search bar border turns red and a notification will appear indicating that no matching options are available.

💡Note: Both Search and Filter results are always restricted to the current tab (Live, Done, or Cancelled) and displayed in your selected layout (Tile View or Split View).
