Order Receiving and Accepting
When a new order arrives in grubOne, the app notifies the user so they can review and begin processing it. Depending on the location’s configuration, orders can be accepted automatically or manually.
1. Auto Accepting Orders:
By default, grubOne is configured to automatically accept incoming orders to optimize workflow and reduce manual intervention. When enabled, all new orders are accepted instantly without requiring any user action.
How Auto Accept Works
-
A new order arrives in the Order Management System (OMS).
-
The user receives a notification.
-
The user can tap View Order(s) to open the order card.
-
The system automatically accepts the order on behalf of the user.
-
The order will appear in the Live Orders tab.
Note: If a partner prefers manual acceptance, this setting can be updated by the internal teams upon request for specific locations.
2. Manually Accepting Orders:
If a location is configured for manual acceptance, only users with the appropriate role-based permissions can accept or reject incoming orders.
Steps to Manually Accept Orders
-
A new order notification appears.
-
When the notification is acknowledged, the Order Details pop-up will appear (this is only shown when manual acceptance is enabled).
Note: If the user does not take action within the configured time limit, the order will be automatically accepted.
-
Review the order details.
-
Tap Accept to approve the order.
-
The order will then appear in the Live Orders tab.
Note: If the order is scheduled, a label at the top of the pop-up will display the scheduled date and time.
Steps to Manually Reject Orders
-
After acknowledging the new order notification, the Order Details pop-up will appear.
-
Tap Reject on the pop-up.
-
The order will be removed from the Ongoing Orders tab.
Note: The acceptance pop-up cannot be closed until all incoming orders are either accepted or rejected.
